Your Tasks

The Interim Tax Manager Europe, working together with the VP Finance Europe and CFO will be accountable for the tax compliance and tax accounting work of various international subsidiaries within Europe. In addition, you will take responsibility over the Group’s Country-by-country reporting and forthcoming BEPS Pillar 2 implementation. The role is limited for 18-24 months.

Your Main Responsibilities:
  • Together with the VP Finance Europe and CFO, you continuously assess tax risks and inform the senior finance management team on any material changes in the risk landscape
  • Ensure tax compliance through overseeing the preparation and reviewing direct and indirect tax returns and ensuring timely and accurate registrations and submissions in all relevant jurisdictions with support from local tax advisors
  • Develop the existing and future tax set-up, including existing intercompany frameworks and transfer pricing policies, in accordance with international tax developments
  • Work closely with the accounting and procurement teams to ensure that the tax strategy is well understood and implemented in the ERP and all core processes
  • Produce tax documentation (including transfer price documentation) relevant for Infinigate Group and coordinate with tax advisors and authorities
  • Support the Group and our international subsidiaries in all tax accounting questions, internal and external tax reporting with support from local tax advisors
  • Ownership of the Group tax share point for filing of important group and subsidiary tax documentation
  • Prepare Country by Country Reporting and Masterfile assisted by external tax advisors.
  • Support local Entitles with the preparation of the local files for Country-by-Country Reporting
  • Actively coordinate the impact of BEPS Pillar II on the Group and support the development and implementation of a Pillar II reporting tool
  • Work together with tax advisors on different acquisition projects.
  • Oversee all inquiries and audits for income tax and VAT
  • Supporting of and working collaboratively with other finance teams (accounting, treasury, controlling)

Your Qualifications

  • Tax qualified (“Steuerberater”) with at least 6 years' experience of working within the tax environment
  • Previous experience in practice, working for a reputable accounting and tax firm, or experience of working in house in a corporate environment
  • Strong tax accounting skills, and be up to date with latest tax accounting standards
  • Familiar with current trends in taxation, for example the BEPS agenda
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Comfortable in moving between the big picture and the detail of implementation. Happy to roll your sleeves up and drive implementation of projects whilst understanding the bigger picture
  • Ability to work independently and to motivate yourself and manage your own time and work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to build relationships both in person and remotely
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
